Senior Business Development Manager
Main responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the purpose of the position is to personally contribute to the global development (with focus on Europe and US) of the customer base for CDMO services in Drug substance and Drug product and achieve customers acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping company competitive and innovative.
Main responsibilities
- Designing and implementing a prospection plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market;
- Promote capabilities and services in order to attract new clients and opportunities;
- Prepare offers in collaboration with Project managers and Technical Teams;
- Negotiate contracts with clients to successfully develop new business relationships;
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs;
- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing prospects and clients in assigned territories;
- Identify emerging markets and new market opportunities by being fully aware of current offering and future expansion possibilities and help management driving most appropriate investment plan anticipating market trends
- Regular reporting so Sales manager and Leadership team on prospection and client management activities
- Represent the company at Industry Events, Fairs, Conferences and regular visit to clients and customers
Candidate profile
- A bright Professional with a strong technical background, with a BS/MS Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent, to embrace a context characterized by growth objectives and important investments.
- A solid experience in Sales OR Business Development roles, gained within CDMOs or Engineering Consultancy Firms with particular focus on Pharmaceutical Sector and demonstrating technical excellence that has produced significant commercial impact
- Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical Sector, Clinical Development and Drugs Manufacturing Processes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, both internally and at client side
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Willingness to travel
- Knowledge of Italian and English is mandatory
