Project Officer
Main responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Coordinator of International Programs, the Project Officer will support in managing the operations related to single/multiple international research projects in the Multiple Sclerosis field, interfacing with multi-stakeholders and interdisciplinary project consortia.
The candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in the role, preferably in the areas of life sciences and healthcare research projects/initiatives.
Strong organizational and communication skills accompanied by a fluent English speaking and understanding are essential requirements.
The role involves supporting the management of life science-related project/s and/or program/s through innovative participatory models of responsible research innovation (RRI) applied by the Italian MS Society project portfolio.
The role of the Project Officer entails the following actions:
- Planning, managing and supporting the moderation of meetings with international stakeholders;
- Elaborating meeting/assemblies’ minutes and preparation/review of project/s’ reports;
- Interacting with the different Italian MS Society and Foundation areas to monitoring the status of contractual obligations, external collaborations and services;
- Interacting with communication and dissemination reference person/services to coordinate the communication of the different project/s’ results, likewise managing online/in person project/s’ events;
- Supporting the scientific activities, by facilitating communication among project/s’ stakeholders and managing small operative tasks (scouting of software’s/platforms’ to enhance research results’ production).
Candidate profile
Experience and skills required:
- 1-3 years’ experience in supporting the management of international research projects (previous experience in European funded research projects is a plus);
- Good ability to manage, write and deliver project reports;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a team or individuals.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office and 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Stream)
- Experience in health and social science is considered a plus: brain disorders; multiple sclerosis; psychology behind engagement, patient reporting measures (PROMs/PPI/PREMs); digital technologies applied to communication and engagement;
Education and qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Scientific disciplines and/or Business Administration is essential;
- Higher research degree (MSc or PhD) in biomedical, healthcare, or health policy is considered a plus;
- Language Proficiency: English C1.
