EMEA Operations Director
Main responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and very well-organized Operations Director to oversee and coordinate all the operational activities of the plants inside the EMEA Region. The ideal candidate will actively participate to develop and deliver the mid/long-term strategy of the Operations/Engineering department and will be responsible to promote a continuous improvement culture inside the plants with a focus also on Service Level, Quality and HSE.
He/she will be accountable for the results of his/her perimeter of responsibility and will have to ensure that the company runs smoothly and efficiently, aligning operational goals with the broader strategic business objectives.
He/she will report directly to the COO Region EMEA, coordinating all the activities related to Manufacturing and Engineering.
In particular he/she will have to:
- Be responsible for overseeing the day-by-day management of business operations by guaranteeing the right flow of information from and to the plants located in the EMEA Region;
- Set up and support the achievement of the functional targets;
- Develop and monitor the operational budget KPIs to promote and ensure efficiency and profitability;
- Oversee Engineering activities and manage Capex plan to support the business growth;
- Work on the organization and manage people development and growth inside the teams;
- Work with other departments strictly involved in the plants’ activities, especially Supply Chain, HSE and Quality;
- Act as a Project Manager for significant transformation projects;
- Proactively collaborate with all the other company functions (R&D, HR, etc.).
Candidate profile
- Education: preferably degree in Engineering or similar disciplines or equivalent experience;
- Professional Skills: continuous improvement; organization; planning; budgeting and capex management; data analysis; people management;
- Experience: 10+ years in Operations and at least 3 years in a specific role with multiple plants responsibility in the Food Industry;
- Language Skills: proficient in Italian and English, third language is preferable;
- Computer Skills: MS office mandatory, ERP systems;
- Behavioural requirements: organizational skills, leadership abilities, strategic thinking, proactiveness, effective communication, ability to meet commitments and deadlines, time management, international mindset;
- Availability to travel around Europe (50% of time on average).
